Salty, Sunny, & Shiney
Epsom Salt makes the perfect kids suncatcher craft
Epsom salt can be used in a DIY kids craft to create a homemade suncatcher by taking advantage of its crystal-forming properties. When Epsom salt is dissolved in hot water and spread onto a clear surface, it forms beautiful, frost-like crystals as it dries. Kids can paint the solution onto shapes or designs, and once dry, the sparkling crystal patterns catch and reflect sunlight. When hung in a window, the finished craft creates a shimmering suncatcher effect that looks like icy window art.
