SOAK OUT STUBBORN SPLINTERS

Epsom Salt Detox Soak

Epsom Salt is a natural remedy that can help reduce inflammation and ease pain, while also drawing out splinters from the skin. Here’s a simple guide on how to use it effectively:

Recipe

Ingredients
  • Epsom salt
  • Warm water
  • A small bowl or container
Instructions
  • Fill a small bowl or container with enough warm water to submerge the affected area.
  • Add 1–2 tablespoons of Epsom salt into the warm water.
  • Stir the mixture until the salt is completely dissolved.
How to Use

Soak the Area:

  • Submerge the part of your body with the splinter into the Epsom salt solution.
  • Soak for about 15–20 minutes. The warm water helps to soften the skin, while the Epsom salt may help draw out the splinter and reduce swelling.

Repeat if Needed:

  • If the splinter doesn’t come out after one soak, you can repeat the process 2–3 times a day until it loosens or is easy to remove.

After Soaking:

  • Once the splinter is easier to remove, gently try to extract it using sterilized tweezers or a clean needle.
  • Clean the area with soap and water after removal, and apply an antiseptic to prevent infection.

This method works best for small splinters and may help in both relieving pain and reducing inflammation naturally.
